The Ayahuasca retreats in Madrid are held in an ECO Farm located 30 minutes from the capital. Close to Aranjuez.

We have an independent house with a swimming pool in a charming place, surrounded by fields and silence.

The farm has a plot, swimming pool and a cozy house with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 3 living rooms. It is totally self-sustainable, with photovoltaic panels, irrigation wells, a potable water tank, a saline water pool, auxiliary huts, beautiful green areas and the comfort of several fireplaces. I attended a retreat with them and I believe that if you are looking for an ayahuasca retreat this is the right place and the trusted group to contact. The people who work there – ayahuasca facilitators and psychotherapists – are true professionals with many years of experience in their profession. I am sure they put safety first. The approach to this retreat was holistic. I would say it is a mix of shamanic tradition with a modern approach. Not only did I attend the ayahuasca ceremonies, but I also received psychotherapy sessions before and after each ceremony. The atmosphere in the group was very pleasant. I received a lot of support, love and compassion. I did not have to worry about not being fluent in Spanish, as I was offered an English translation. As our retreats are in Spanish, we offer a professional translation and interpretation service for those who speak English.
The interpretation service includes translation during the preparation sessions and morning therapeutic integrations. As well as at other times when required by the participants or the team.

To help your mind and body prepare for the spiritual and healing journey that Ayahuasca retreats provide, it is recommended to become conscious and stay as clean as possible before the first ceremony. This will help Ayahuasca to work better.

According to the international consensus, reflected in the 2010 Report of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) «No plants (or plant materials) containing DMT are currently controlled under the 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances. Therefore, preparations (e.g. decoctions) made from these plants, including Ayahuasca, are not under international control and, therefore, are not subject to any article within the 1971 Convention».

According to this criterion, the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) issued different letters, upon request of lawyers who have defended any case related to ayahuasca in Spain, confirming that, «although DMT is controlled according to the 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances, Ayahuasca is not subject to control according to Spanish legislation» (e.g., AEMPS, 2013) and the Special Anti-Drug Prosecutor’s Office in its report of April 23, 2018, specifies that this type of substance is not controlled as a narcotic or psychotropic substance in the international schedules of the United Nations Conventions.

Thus, although these are products that may contain a concentration of substances included in such schedules, in particular the DMT contained in Ayahuasca, they are naturally occurring, without such substances being synthetic or having been processed, which in that case would indeed make it a case of controlled drugs according to the Convention.

In fact, the fact that a substance contains DMT naturally does not make it different from other living beings, nor does it make it illegal, even though synthetic DMT is illegal, since it has even been scientifically proven that human beings generate it during sleep states, which would otherwise make an effect to the brain and its use illegal.

Therefore, being the International Treaties applicable in Spain, Ayahuasca is according to them a substance not controlled or criminally prosecuted. Therefore, the articles of the Spanish Penal Code do not apply to it.

In case of cancellation by the organizers of the retreat, the participant may choose to request a refund of the reservation, or to be saved for a future retreat in that city or another (no time limit).

In case of cancellation by the participant, reservations will not be refunded. It can be held for another retreat for up to 60 days, or it can be given to a friend or family member to attend in your place.
